Designing the Perfect Arts and Crafts Area in a Small Space
Giving your child some crayons, markers or paints just may be the smartest thing you ever do! Terrific things happen when you introduce your kids to the world of art. Kid's imaginations bloom; they learn to entertain themselves; children feel happier and they get a sense of pride when mom and dad say; "Wow, look at that beautiful drawing!"
But first, you'll need to set-up an arts and crafts space where your little Picasso can create artistic masterpieces. If you think your home is too small for this...think again! We have some impressive art easels that fit in very small spaces, but will encourage a child to create big masterpieces. Below I've showcased three of my favorite art easels for small spaces, but if your space is small, but has a little more room then consider checking out all of our art easels and art desks to find the right one for your child.

If you're working with a very small space then you will love the My Table Top Easel. This art easel can sit on top of any table and be stored in a closet when not in use. It can also be taken out onto a back deck if your child wants to paint some flowers or trees. It's double sided with a chalkboard on one side and dry erase board on the other, so two kids can use it at the same time. This easel also has the paper roll and cutter attached, plus storage cups for holding supplies. It's a very compact art station that any little artist would love!

Another wonderful art easel for small spaces is the Alex Toys Wall Easel. It's just as it sounds, an easel that hangs on the wall. Since every room has walls, this easel can go anywhere in your home. It's also decked out with a very colorful patterned back ground that will add spunk to the space. There is a paper roll up top and cutter below, plus three cup holders for keeping supplies in easy reach. The center is a chalkboard, so if your child doesn't feel like wasting paper, she can do some chalk drawings instead. If you have more than one child, consider getting several of these fantastic art easels |

If you have a little floor space available consider getting this Double Sided Easel with chalkboard on one side and dry erase board on the other. This easel can be easily moved around the room and stored in a closet when not being used. It allows your child to dabble in several types of art mediums and has red plastic trays below to keep supplies close at hand. Since it's double sided, two kids can do art at one time and as your children get older the easel legs can be extended to adjust the easel height to match your child's height. This art easel also has a paper holder up top to offer your kids lots of options: drawing or painting on paper, drawing in chalk or creating a marker masterpiece. |
